Today I had a tutorial with Jonathan, after listening my final idea but with not many details, he was very worried about my final show.
This is a simple sketch of my final show:
Then we discussed how will the details look like. Jonathan thinks I won’t be able to achieve this, because of the problem of furniture, and the content of what I’m going to project. In this tutorial, I realized that I focused on too much things just for find a perfect idea. But there is no perfect idea, or there is no end, you always could come up a better idea. Through his advice, I know that I should focus on one thing and make it perfect. Develop on one point deeper. Since I mentioned the reason I chose a bedroom is a bedroom is the most privacy space of our daily life. So we focus on on piece of furniture which is the most privacy one, so that it will be easier for me to achieve and also the content will have a focus. We decided to chose the drawer, cause it is a furniture that most people put their secrets in. And also it is easier for me to get, so that I could focus on the content that will be projected inside of the drawer. This tutorial really helped me to realize that I could not always whirl in a circle of different ideas. So after this tutorial I quickly tested how the effects will be:
I’ve tested many times about the video, about how to pose in a box, and get myself used to this limited and quiet uncomfortable space to make the audience feel that I am enjoy. Because of the videos aretoo much and not necessary to view all of them, I will just put some stills here:
Through this test I have some questions:
Does the perspective fit to the drawer? Because we look from an above view angle, but my video is shoot from the side.
And I am thinking “will people interested in someone do some daily life thing in here?”. I came up an idea that I could always get things from another unknown space.
